One Month

Our little lady turned one month on Sunday! She is doing great and really growing! At her one month check up, she weighed in at a hefty 9 lbs 13.5 oz. That is 2 pounds over her birth weight! 

Her favorite thing to do is drink milk! She also enjoys snuggling and is becoming more alert each day. She is very close to smiling and we are starting to hear her coo. She adores her big brother. He is doing great with her. He likes to hold her and help feed her a bottle. She opens her eyes wide when he talks and sings to her.

Santa Visits

The hubby has a friend from work that dressed up as Snta and made several visits. Our house happened to be one of his stops. Little man was a little unsure about him and wouldn't get too close!

Soccer Photo

We (finally) got little mans soccer picture in the mail. The team he was on was "parent and me" for 2 year olds.

His hockey team didn't do tshirts or picture day.  Today was the last day for hockey. We were sad to see it end. He really seemed to enjoy it. I think it starts up again in the spring. 

We are signed up for parent & me basketball in January so we will see how that goes! I have a good feeling about basketball, he seems to be really interested in it!

Winter Is Here!

We got our first big snow of the season. We woke up earlier this week to about 6 inches of snow. Little man was thrilled! All he wants to do is go outside and "play snow" which sounds more like "Playno! Playno!" Luckily he has a good dad that has taken him outside every day this week. They have gone sledding, shoveled snow (huge hit, little man loves to dig), rolled in the snow, thrown snowballs, the whole works! Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get pics or videos because I am inside with the baby. But I did get one if him all bundled up, ready to go out!

Mall Santa

My mother in law took little man and I out to lunch and we decided to take a quick lap around the mall. It was the day before baby girl was born and we were trying to get the party started. (Maybe it worked because my water did break early the next morning!)

The Santa at our mall is awesome. They have a winter snow globe set up that you walk through before seeing Santa. Inside the snow globe they have videos of polar bears, penguins etc and snow falling from the ceiling. Little man loved the fake snow. I was really pleased with how this picture turned out. You can see the excitement in little man's face!

Sweet Treats

Baby girl is really getting big! Little man has been such a good big brother! He loves helping and often asks to hold her. 

We baked cookies this morning. Guess who kept eating the chocolate chips?! 

Newborn Photo Shoot

We had some photos taken of baby girl when she was 7 days old. I am excited to share some of the proofs with you guys!

Christmas Countdown

We are so excited for Christmas! We have our stockings ready for Santa... 

...and we gave been counting down the days with our "24 Books" (each day little man is given one present -a book- to open).

Brotherly Love

Yesterday, little man asked me if he could hold his sister. I was excited because so far he hasn't been overly interested in her. (He keeps asking when she will be able to play with him). We held her together despite little man assuring me he could do it by himself, without help. We didn't hold her for long but he was quite proud of himself afterward. At one point he looked at me and said, "Awwe, she's so cute!" 

First Bath

We gave munchkin her first bath! Little man helped me sponge her down. We wrapped her up in a towel, dried her off and when we opened the towel she had gone wee! So... she got her first and second bath all in the same night! 

While We Were Gone

While we were at the hospital (and recovering this past week), little man had quite a bit of fun with my parents!
