Fun at the Farm

We spent a few hours Sunday at a farm! It was a pumpkin farm that had added all kinds of play areas! We spent half an afternoon there and still didn't get to do it all!

Little sister was happy to ride in the wagon most of the afternoon.

There was a fort made of straw with a slide.

They had pedal carts and a race track. Little man needed a little push to make it around #shortlegs

There was also a tractor turned slide

They had zip lines which he was able to do all by himself! He loved it!

There was a "pumpkin jump" trampoline. I have no idea what exactly this was or how it worked but it was big, orange and apparently a lot of fun!

I tried to get him to take a picture with his sister but he wanted a picture with his friend instead. I suppose this is the first of many "ugh, why do I have to pose with my SISTER" pictures.

There was also a petting zoo with goats, donkeys, pigs and chickens.

They had a "touch a tractor" exhibit which little man thought was awesome. When we weren't looking he moved the pumpkins and hay bales to try to get closer to the tractor.

Little man took a ride on the banana train.

We wrapped up our day with a family hay ride.

As we were headed to the car we realized we forgot to buy a pumpkin. I guess we will have to go back!

Apple Orchard

After a few days of crisp, cool temperatures we were ready for some apples! It was a fun amd easy family adventure. Little man loves picking the apple from the tree and of course eating them! They were also making cider. We watched him press the apples and then he poured a half gallon for us right then and there. Yum!

Date With Mama

My little man and I had a special mother-son date today! My MIL was fabulous to watch baby girl so we could have a pre-birthday date! We started off by going to the store to pick out birthday supplies. Just the necessities like juice boxes, gold fish and side walk chalk. Then we headed over to the splash pad and play ground.

He really liked spraying the firemans hose and kept telling me the water was sooo cold!

There was a playground right beside the splash pad. He really liked the train and of course his favorite: the slides.

We had a lunch break and then it was back to more splish-splash.

When we finally exhausted the park, we headed downtown for a cupcake at the local bakery. We passed a RR crossing sign which little man was very excited about. We talked about trains all afternoon and even got to see a real one go by! Alllll aboard.

He selected chocolate on chocolate... Good choice!

Somehow he even managed to talk me into a juice box from Wendy's. Then as I was about to order he asked if he could also have fries a toy and chicken nuggets.

We had a lot of fun just the two of us, doing all of the things he wanted to do! I can't wait for the birthday celebrations to begin!!

Feeding A Giraffe

We went to the zoo and were able to feed a giraffe! We fed him lettuce and he stuck out his slobbery blue tongue and it was gone! Little man had no fear and was excited to try it. Afterwards he told the zoo keeper it was just like giving Juney a treat!

We were also able to get really close to the cheetahs and could hear them purring/growling.

The flamingos are always a hit and so are the safari trucks. He loooves the safari trucks!

Jumping In

One...two...three...jump!

Little man loves jumping into the pool! Over and over again. He likes to use the ladder to get out and is getting pretty brave!

Little girl likes to get in the pool too, she loves to kick her legs and splash.

Little man often reminds me of his dad. They often have similar mannerisms. Look at their faces here and you can see what I mean!

And little miss thing has already learned how to furrow her brow too!

Grocery Store

Grocery shopping with two can be a challenge! Now that little girl can sit in the front of the cart, things are much easier. Yesterday, our trip to the grocery was actually fun #firsttimeever !! Little girl giggled the entire time. She loved sitting next to her brother, reaching for his hat and seeing the world! Little man held her hand as we went over the bumps in the parking lot and chatted to her the whole time - which she soaked right up! They were two peas in a pod. I love when they are so sweet to each other.
