Bathing J
Little man helped give Miss June a bath! June hated every minute of it!!
She LOVED being brushed out afterwards though!
We also played with the garden hose, washed the wagon and played with the water table.

2 year Check-Up
Little man went to the Dr. yesterday for his 2 year old check-up! He was great! He was so well behaved and personable. I was a very proud mama!
Here's how he is measuring up:
Height 36 inches, 90th percentile
Weight 32 lbs, 88th percentile
Supposedly, if you double their height at age two, that is how tall they will be as an adult. That would make little man about 6'2". Interesting! We'll see in 20 years!
He did have to get three shots but he was so tough! He didn't wince or shed even a single tear!!! Literally, no tears or even an "ow!" I couldn't believe it. He is such a tough little guy.

Out & About
Our local Whole Foods had a kidsfest night. There were tons of food samples for kids, a few animals, live music and entertainment! It was a fun way to spend a weeknight!

Rocks
Another gray day in CT... So we brought the outdoors in! Rocks! I picked up a small bag of decorative rocks from the craft store and they were a huge hit!
We put them in a muffin tin, picked them up with tongs, fed them to our pet dinosaur and swept them with a broom! We attempted sorting and counting but ended up playing the usual games of stirring the rocks and "fill up-dump out."
Fun!! :)

Wishing Well
We were walking around downtown and spotted a fountain to throw pennies in. Little man was a natural! Best four cents we spent all day!

26 & 27 weeks
As you might have noticed, my belly is really growing! Each day I think it is bigger than the day before! I also got my hair cut!
A few days ago, I had a Drs appointment and everything checked out just fine! The baby now weighs approximately 2 lbs!
I am now at 27 weeks which marks the start of the third trimester! I am excited my due date is only 3 months away (November 21)!!
Here are a few pics of wild man. I haven't posted anything about bath time lately, but there haven't been any changes! We still do the colored water and shaving cream. He points to the medicine cabinet where I keep the Crayola drops and Barbasol and I ask him what color he would like to turn the water. This night yellow was the winner!

Bed Head
Little man almost always wakes up happy. Usually, I know he's awake because I can hear him singing, talking or jumping up and down in his crib.
He gets pretty sweaty in his sleep, despite the fact that the air conditioner in his room keeps it pretty cool. When I go in to get him up, his hair is often all over the place. I couldn't help but snap a few pics for proof! I suppose a haircut is in the new future.

Visitors
My in-laws visited this past week. Little man had a lot of fun playing in his wagon and reading books with his grandma and grandpa!
The highlight of their trip (for me at least) was that my FIL cleaned and painted the unfinished portion of our basement. We didn't get a true "before" photo. This one already has the floor cleaned and painted but you can still see it was a drastic improvement! I'm no longer afraid to go downstairs to do the laundry!!

Celebrating TWO
We had a wonderful day celebrating little man's second birthday!!
We started out with a candle in pancakes.
When he woke up and came into the kitchen he was surprised (and very excited!) to see balloon and dinosaur garland. My mother in law and I put these up the night before and they turned out great!!
His first present of the day was waiting for him when he woke up... A hot dog and pizza grill with two small benches sent from my parents. He loved it and played with it all morning!
After his morning nap he got his next gift, a sandbox (from my in-laws) which he also loved!! We added in a dump truck, some rocks and a dinosaur and little man couldn't have been happier!! I think the remainder of our summer will be spent
a) in the sandbox
AND
b) sweeping sand (from the sandbox) out of the kitchen!!
Next up: lunch and cake! We had a chocolate on chocolate cake from the best bakery in town and it was amazing! As soon as little guy saw it he reached forward and snagged a finger full of frosting!
After cake comes presents!
...then we headed outside to play with a new water table!
After about ten minutes, the clothes were off!
And one last present before bed... A trike!
