Halloween Gingerbread House

While Little Miss was taking a nap, we whipped up some frosting and built a gingerbread house for Halloween! We used a kit from the grocery store that had the cookie pieces ready to assemble which made it really easy!! Little man loved piping the frosting and making up a story for the teddy graham that lives there!! 

Jack-o-lanterns

Over the weekend we carved out pumpkins!! Little man was very excited to  cut the pumpkin open and asked us a hundred times if it was time to carve pumpkins so we made it our priority to get started first thing Saturday morning. 

Little man wanted a "big scary face" and Molly said she wanted a "happy happy" face. 

We had fun cutting them open. Little man was very excited to scoop the goop but little miss was not into it. She did love her baby pumpkin though, and wanted to carve it.

Mini Fire Chief

Our fire station had an open house, so of course we went! Little man wore a fire truck shirt, his fireman boots and his fire chief jacket. 

 

There was a jaws of life demonstration and afterwards the fire chief asked if anyone had any questions. Instantly, little man jumped out of his seat, hand raised, "I do! I do! I've got a question right here!!" Then he asked if the fire truck had to be on for the generator to run. We were all impressed with such a detailed question! Amazing to see how his little brain works!

The highlight of the visit was seeing a rescue helicopter land! Then we got to sit in the back of it and talk to the pilot. 

Fall Family Fun

We went to a pumpkin farm for a fun family afternoon. The kids jumped on a bounce pad, rode in barrel carts pulled by a tractor and we took a family hay ride. The weather was perfect and we all had a fun day!! 

I'm 4 too!!
