Fencing
We are having our backyard fenced in today! The munchkins are watching closely. They have no idea how much fun it's going to be to run free!

Weekend Updates
I hope you guys had a good holiday weekend! We ate plenty of watermelon, painted the nursery, played in the pool and went out to eat. We also went to our neighborhood block party where there was a blow up bouncey water slide (little man loved it!!!) and went to a farmers market with our neighbors. The highlight of the market was getting an icee, apple cider donuts or local goat cheese (depending on which one of us you ask!). Anyways, I didn't get pictures of everything we did this weekend but here are a few...
Also, I am now 20 weeks pregnant which means... halfway there!! Last time the 2nd half of my preg flew by (with the exception of the last two weeks!) so I am trying to soak up having only one kiddo while getting completely organized and prepared for the next. Easier said than done!

Beading
I picked up these beads at the Dollar Tree and we practiced our fine motor skills by stringing them on pipe cleaners.
At first, it was very hard for little man to string them but he learns so fast! (Little man is 22 months and I wasn't sure if he would be old enough for this skill but it was great for him!) After a few minutes he was stringing them like a pro - and lost interest! What he really wanted to do was scoop the beads. So I brought out a spoon and some ice cube trays and we scooped away! I tried to get him to sort the colors but he was too distracted by scooping and stirring!

Painting With Chalk
Little man loves side walk chalk. So we decided to switch things up a bit. We brought the chalk onto the deck. We also made chalk paint and painted with chalk in addition to drawing.
I took a piece of sidewalk chalk, put it in a bag, smashed it to pieces, put it in a bowl and added a few drops of water.
Painting was really fun. Things quickly got out of hand and little man was covered from head to toe in chalk (and so was the dog)! He takes his artwork very seriously!

T Rex
Little man refused to "be a dinosaur" for almost a week and now this morning he won't stop!
Here is our little dino...
