Phase 1 Completed

We are moving to Columbus, Ohio for the hubby's job! We have moved a lot (I think this will be our twelfth move) but this is the first move with two kids!

Phase 1 was to move me and the kids to Ohio. Success! We boarded a One-way, nonstop flight and voila! Here we are!

I can't say that it was easy with all of the luggage and car seats but the flight itself was a piece of cake. Again, the day before we left we deprived little man of his favorites: tv and iPad. So once on the plane we reintroduced them along with apple juice and Oreos. Pure happiness (and peace and quiet!).

Next up:
Selling the house.
Move into temporary housing.
Buying a house & moving in.

Haircut!

I love getting little man's hair cut! It looks so cute and clean.

Ta-da!

See how long it was?! I think I always wait too long to take him!

Checking out his cut in the mirror!

Memory Cards

I made little man a set of memory cards by printing out two sets of colored crayons, taping them onto card stock and laminating them with packing tape. We started by matching them when they were face up and eventually went to "taking turns" flipping them over. This game will be one that we have to practice a little more. He's pretty good at remembering where the colors are but taking turns is a bit of a challenge!

First Laughs!!

Munchkin is finally laughing... and so are we! She laughed for the first time when June (our dog) walked up and sniffed her toes. She has always been fascinated by the dog and smiles and kicks her legs when Juney walks by. She has been laughing ever since!!

Here are some pics of her mid-giggle and a cute video too!

A Special Visitor

My sister (from Michigan) spent the weekend with us and the kiddos were all over her!

Little man loved playing with her and he kept saying, "I have something to tell you!" Munchkin loved all of the attention. We almost didn't let Auntie J leave because of her magic touch ... Munchkin fell asleep in her arms when we were chatting away in the kitchen!

Little man was so sad to see her go this morning. After dropping Aunt J off at the airport, the hubs brought home a little treat for us... donuts!
