HBD Gram P!

Happy Birthday, Pam! Thank you for the hours upon hours you've put into reading, singing and playing with the babies. They get so excited when they hear you are coming to visit and want to be on your lap the entire time you're here. They absolutely love you! You are a wonderful grandma to them and the best mother in law I've ever had :) Thanks for sharing part of your birthday with us today!!

Trick or Treating

Trick or Treating was last night. It was fun but cold! Little man went up to each house and said "trick or treating" and held his bag open. He was very polite and sweet. There was also a lot of monster roaring (no surprise).

We left baby girl at home with my parents and she liked watching the trick or treaters through the window.

We lasted about 40 minutes and then he declared he was done. We stopped in our tracks, did an about face, and headed home. He was very excited about all of the candy. He opened several suckers then asked to put his pjs on.

Then he changed his mind. He decided to come outside and pass out candy. We made a fire in the driveway which he thought was really cool.

Pumpkin Carving!

Tonight we carved pumpkins and it was so fun! Little man has been very excited to "make a spooooooky jack-o-lantern" and baby girl just loves everything.

The large pumpkin we picked up at the farmers market (after forgetting to bring one home from the pumpkin patch... I don't know how it happened!) and the little pumpkin we brought home last week from the preschool field trip to the farm. (It was fun but 2.5 hours of freezing cold.) We decided to make the baby pumpkin for baby girl.

We scooped the goop in the kitchen. Little man was excited and baby girl loved it! She wanted her own spoon, tried to scoop, liked to look inside the pumpkin and giggled the entire time. She giggles all of the time!! Such a happy little girl. (Yes, she is already wearing Thanksgiving pajamas.)

Little man wanted his pumpkin to be scary and we added a bow on baby girl's. We put candles in them before heading to bed (notice the sleepy faces). Trick or Treat is tomorrow, Thursday, and our costumes are ready!

Happy Halloween!

Here is the Halloween card I sent out to our families!

And here are cards from years past...

First Steps

Baby girl has started taking a few steps at a time! We are all so excited! The very first steps she took were to her brother. He's been coaching her to walk for months and one day she finally did. She fell into his arms and they both giggled. Heres a video of her taking a few steps. She's so close! Now we need to go shoe shopping!!

Using A Fork

Baby girl has been begging for a fork at dinner time. Finally, I let her try using one and she knew exactly what to do!

Hello!

Baby girl just started waving hello and goodbye. The first time it happened was a few weeks ago as we were leaving the grocery store. I've been trying to catch it on video ever since! She is so sweet about it, I just love it! This pic is of her mid-wave or you can get the full effect from the video!

Tent & Tunnels

This tent is a huge hit every time we play with it! This was little girl's first time and she looooved it! I don't usually add on all three tunnels but I knew she would like crawling through them. The kids chased one another through and through until they were both sweaty and exhausted! Success!

Swing & Sour Candy

We spent some time playing with the neighbors yesterday. Baby girl loves to swing and little man tried sour skittles for the first time. He didn't like it!

10 Months

Baby girl is ten months and on the move!! She is cruising everywhere and crawling at lightening speed. She can walk if she holds onto our hands and is pushing around toys. She is trying lots of foods and wants to eat everything. Her favorite food right now is Ritz crackers. She likes to play chase and hide & seek with her brother. She has four teeth: two on the bottom, one top front and one on the top side. She still is just the sweetest little thing and giggles all of the time. She has a ton of hair that can be put in a ponytail or piggies. And speaking of piggies... She loves singing and nursery rhymes especially "this little piggy." She can wave hello and goodbye and is making lots of babbling sounds. She is such a good baby and goes with the flow. We absolutely adore this precious little girl!!!

Here is a look back at the past ten months...

Here are a few videos of her everyday playing:
