Happy Birthday to my sister, Aunt Ashley! I am so lucky to have you as a sister. You are so cute, creative and smart. I love your sense of humor and am really glad we live closer now! (Although I really just wish you moved back in with us!!) The kids think you are awesome too. We love you and can't wait for your wedding in only a few weeks!!! You will have the sweetest ring bearer and flower girl imaginable!

We are still rock obsessed. The collection has grown and is bordering on out of control! Let's just say it is never a suprise when I find a stray rock... in the fridge, the dishwasher, washing machine, my shoe, my bed, my purse, several in the couch, under the couch...
Also, the kids have been playing so sweetly together. Here are two videos of playing with the rocks (disregard the snow pants...they are another favorite) Little man loves to teach his sister about the rocks. He also loves to look at rock pictures on Google.
This particular time their playing led to painting. But before we painted the rocks, I put them all in a shoe box and gave them a quick coat of white spray paint. I also gave half of them a little gold spray paint just for fun. It really helped the Crayola paint show up! And yes, these rocks were already clean because we have given them about 100 baths. They turned out great and it was a fun activity that lasted quite a while!

I was invited to a special Mom's Day event at preschool and it was so fun and sweet! Little man was SO excited for me to come to school with him! It was the first thing he said to me when he woke up! He had made me a special invitation and wanted to wear his favorite shirt!
We started out by going to Bible class with our preschoolers. They loved having us in there with them!
Then we went into their classroom for a special song the sang for us. He was so excited he danced the entire time in addition to singing and sign language! We were also given an All About My Mom form they filled out and it was so funny to hear what our little ones think about us. My favorite line was that little man thinks my favorite thing to do is make breakfast!
Lastly, we headed to the cafeteria for a special treat of cheese, crackers and strawberries! He also presented me with a bookmark that he strung beads onto. A keepsake for sure! It was such a fun and special day for us!!

Little man has a stuffed animal that is his favorite. He is named "Puppy." He sleeps with Puppy every night, asking us to cover Puppy up and also to give Puppy a kiss and a hug goodnight. He often reminds us never to touch Puppy's head (something he was taught about babies when his sister was born). He never lets anyone hold Puppy but of course baby girl is always trying to steal him away.
One morning while little man was at preschool, little miss thing found Puppy and was hugging and kissing him. She was so cute and sweet yet still had a look in her eyes like she knew she was getting away with something. I snapped a few pics to semd to the hubs, I knew he would find it funny.
A few weeks later, I was letting little man flip through the photos on my phone. He loves to see pictures of himself and it will entertain him in a pinch. He sees the pictures of his sister and Puppy and stops, no longer smiling. "What.is.this?!" He asks me in a very accusatory tone. I start to stammer... He looks right at me and says "Mom, I do not like these pictures. This upsets me a lot. It's not nice. Please do not let this happen ever again!"
Eek! I had been found out! Lesson learned. No more rendezvous between Puppy and sister!!
Here are the guilty pics that got me caught!!

Yesterday, baby girl was diagnosed with another ear infection and now I am in the same boat! I've been sick with a terrible cold and finally made myself go to the doctor. The kids were sooo good! They were polite, well behaved and sat silently. I was both impressed and proud!! Little man went into mother-hen-mode and coached his sister, "We must be very quiet, the doctor is listening to mommy's heart!" It was so sweet!

Baby girl is now smitten with "baby" and it is the sweetest thing I have ever seen! She would occasionally pick a baby doll up and rock it or kiss it but then about two weeks ago that all changed. Now "baby" eats breakfast, lunch and dinner with her, naps with her, picks brother up from preschool... the list goes on. She has several sweet and beautiful dolls but her favorite is the $3 one from the grocery store!
